Doctrinal StatementScripturesWe believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration and authority of the scriptures, and that they are inerrant and infallible. The Bible reveals to man: God, the fall of man, the way of salvation and God's plan and purpose through the ages. We believe the word of God is preserved in the King James (authorized) version for English speaking people. {PS 119:89, MT 24:35, 2 TIM 3:16, I PE 1:25, 2 PE 1:21, HEB. 4:12} GodWe believe God is eternal, infinite, and
immutable. He is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscience. He is completely
holy, sovereign and just. There is only one God, but in the unity of the
Godhead there are three coequal persons: God; the Father, the Son and the
Holy Spirit who are full of love, truth and peace. {GEN 1:12, PS 19:1, 90:2,
1 JOHN 5:7} Jesus ChristWe believe in the virgin birth of Jesus. He is
deity and lived an impeccable life. He died a vicarious death and resurrected
bodily from the dead after three days and three nights. He ascended bodily to
heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father and is advocate, mediator
and intercessor for the believer. He will rapture the believers before the
seven year tribulation and will pre-millennially return. {MAT 1:18, HEB 1:8,
2 COR 5:17} Holy SpiritWe believe he is coequal with the Father and Christ in his deity. He reproves (convicts) the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. He regenerates, indwells, and seals the believer. He teaches, guides and distributes gifts to the believer. Being filled with the Spirit means to be controlled completely by Him which manifests the fruits of the Spirit. {ACTS 5: 3-4, JOHN 16:8-15, TIT 3:5, I COR 6:19, EPH 1:13, 4:30, I COR 12:11, EPH 5:18, GAL 5:22-23} ManWe believe man was created by God, in the image of God, with a body, soul and spirit. He was created innocent and chose to disobey God and fall into sin, which brought physical and spiritual death. This sin nature has been passed to all men and women who are already under condemnation. {GEN 2:7, 3:19, I THES 5:23, GEN 3, ROM 5:12, JOHN 3:18} SalvationWe believe salvation is by God's mercy and grace through faith in the finished work (death, burial and resurrection) of Christ. Salvation is a free gift to anyone and can in no way be achieved nor earned. The conditions for salvation are repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ, which is a simultaneous act in the heart of man {EPH 2:8-9, ROM 6:23, ACTS 20:21} SecurityWe believe those who accept Christ into their heart as Savior are eternally secure. The believer's security rests solely upon the promises of Christ to keep the believer eternally secure through the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. {JOHN 10:28-29,5:14, EPH.1:14} ChurchWe believe the new testament church is an organized body of baptized believers, practicing biblical principles and new testament doctrines. The two ordinances are baptism (by immersion) and communion (the Lord's supper). The ordained offices of the church are pastor and deacons. The church is sovereign and autonomous in polity and bonded together for service, worship, edification and carrying out the great commission locally and abroad. Christ is the head and the scriptures are the supreme authority for both faith and practice. {ACTS 2:41-42, 5:38, ROM 6:3-5, I COR 11:23-26, 1 TIM 3, ACTS 15, MAT 28:19} Heaven and HellWe believe in the eternal blessedness of the redeemed in the presence of God in heaven and the eternal punishment and separation from God of the lost in hell. {JN 14:2, 2 COR 5:8, MK 9:43-49, LUK 12:5, LUK 16}
